Whenever you find yourself in one of the above-listed countries or areas of the world, and you want to find a delicious, non-touristy place to get some tasty local grub, the following rule can be employed to near perfect results:

- Always find a place where local men with mustaches are eating

That's it. You'd be amazed how accurate this is.

*note, the mustaches are a bit thinner and more difficult to see in Tokyo; you need to look carefully.
